RYA Dinghy Instructor
Aims:
To prepare potential instructors with the skills and knowledge required to teach the RYA National Sailing Scheme at RYA Dinghy Training Centres in the UK and abroad.
Successful candidates will be qualified to instruct the Level 1, Level 2, Seamanship and Day Sailing courses at RYA Dinghy Centres.
Course Duration:
5 days; 09.30 to 18.00hrs with homework most evenings.
This course is usually run Monday to Friday or spread over multiple weekends.
Pre Requisites:
- Minimum age of 16 years
- RYA First Aid Certificate or equivalent
- RYA Dinghy Pre Entry (passed within the year prior to the instructor course)
- RYA Powerboat Level 2

Course Content:
Training in teaching techniques afloat and ashore in order to prepare candidates to instruct the RYA National Sailing Scheme.
Anyone who passes an Instructor Course with us is automatically qualified for inland and coastal instructing.
