POWERBOATING
Our powerboat training falls into three disciplines; open powerboats (up to 10m), motor cruisers (over 10m) and personal watercraft (Jet Skis). We run the full range of RYA courses in each discipline. We also offer a range of BWS Ski Boat Driver and BSAC dive boat operator courses.

RYA First Aid
Aims:
In a medical emergency a little First Aid knowledge can save lives, especially when you are in a remote location. This course will provide you with a basic knowledge of First Aid and is aimed at people using small craft. It is equally suitable for leisure sailors and motor boaters. The course also fulfils the requirements for professional skippers of small craft working up to 60 miles from a safe haven. The course is recognised by the MCA and HSE, and satisfies the requirements of RYA instructors and holders of RYA/MCA certificates of competence.
Course Duration:
1 day 0930 to 1700.
Pre Requisites:
None.
Course Content:
First Aid and resuscitation techniques for yachtsmen, including knowledge of the treatment for hypothermia. The RYA First Aid Course is unique in First Aid terms, as it is aimed at water sports enthusiasts and takes a realistic look at the levels of First Aid that can be performed in a yacht, powerboat or dinghy. Our instructors fully appreciate the difference between conventional First Aid and RYA First Aid (where the ambulance is not just ten minutes away). The certificate is valid for three years.
Optional Extras:
Dual certify and also receive the HSE Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate at the same time (extra £12).
Booking:
If the dates below do not suit you, we can set up a bespoke 1:1, 2:1 or group course at a time that suits you.
Please let us know in advance of the course if you require dual certification with the HSE Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.
Price: £79
