The Caribbean: tropical conditions provide the ideal light winds needed for sailing and temperatures warm enough to enjoy the stunning scenery in just shorts and t-shirts. Who wouldn't rather be cruising the Caribbean isles on a yacht during the UK's bleak, wet winters? During the winter months each year, one of our yachts completes a Caribbean Circuit. This circuit takes in the ARC Trans-Atlantic Race in November, several of the high profile Caribbean regattas and a couple of cruises.
The yacht arrives in St Lucia in December, visiting Antigua, St Maartin and Barbados before returning to the UK in May. This allows us to enjoy some excellent sailing, tropical weather and winter sun while avoiding the extreme summer heat and the hurricane season. The Caribbean regattas are renowned for their excellent sailing conditions, beautiful setting and the legendary party atmosphere. All the hard work of the racing is rewarded in true Caribbean style, with rum aplenty.
We tend to use a 40ft racer-cruiser. It is available for whole boat skippered charter for some events as well as us selling individual berths on some regattas and RYA Sail Cruising Courses.
As at the present time, we are only running one yacht in the Caribbean for five months of the year, early booking is highly recommended. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 02380 231122 for more information.
