Fleet & Charter
The Benefits of Chartering with Stormforce Coaching
Here at Stormforce Coaching chartering one of our boats is stress free and has many added bonuses!
We have a large fleet of 6 sail yachts, 1 motor cruiser, 2 RIBs, 2 PWCs and 3 keelboats. Futhermore, we have a large number of skippers on our full time staff meaning we will almost always have a boat for charterers and a skipper available for those who want one!
We set competitive prices and have a range of durations that you are able to charter for i.e 1/2 day to a week.
All of the Stormforce fleet have access to free berthing around the Solent. MDL have marinas all over the southern coast - as we keep our yachts at MDL Shamrock Quay, it means our boats can then berth for free at any other MDL Marina.
When refueling, we know that it can be difficult to match the level or remember how much you need to put in, at Stormforce Coaching we just ask you to tell us how many engine hours you used whilst aboard. We then charge per engine hour rather than you guessing how much fuel you used!
We take great pride in our fleet. We have 2 RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats), our XS600 (Obi Wan) is 6 metres and the other, Yoda, an XS700 is 7 metres. The oldest is only 3 years old. Similarly, our 2 PWCs (Personal Watercraft, or jet skis) are both under a year old, they are Seadoo Sparks - Endor seats 2 people and Ewok seats 3.
We have 3 SB20 keelboats (Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith and Phantom Menace); being quick and light they are predominantly used for racing but are also great for people who want to learn to sail!
The South coast of England is one of the best places in the UK to sail. There are multiple places to visit and berth around the Solent, such as Cowes - world renowed for its regattas, historic Portsmouth and Bucklers Hard - where Nelson's fleet was built, just to name a few.
For experienced sailors, the more technical side of the Solent is a big attraction; there are strong tides to contend with, interesting places to navigate in and lots of other boats!
Bareboat Charter - This is where you will be able to take a yacht or powerboat without one of our instructors or skippers. We do ask that you meet a set of prerequisites, which depend on the type of boat you will be chartering and what you will be using it for. Bareboat is excellent for people who already have the qualifications and are looking for some freedom to do as they please!
Skippered Charter - With your charter of a yacht, motor cruiser or powerboat we will include a skipper. This means you don't have to have any experience or qualifications as our skipper will take care of everything. Skippered Charter is perfect for beginners who would just like time to be on the water.
Corporate Charter - Designed for team building or as a 'treat' for staff, we can provide multiple yachts with skippers, excellent for some head to head competition.
Whole Boat Race Charter - Some of our sailing yachts are perfect for taking part in regattas. You and your race team will be able to enter one of our yachts to the regatta of your choice. We offer extras such as a skipper and race sails. Some of our yachts require an Owner's Representative to be present.
Not all of our fleet are available for every type of charter. By visiting each boat's page you will be able to see what they are suited to.
