RYA MOTOR CRUISING COURSES (For Motorboats over 10m)

The RYA Motor Cruising Scheme (or Yactmaster Power scheme) is aimed at those who have an interest in motor boats and larger powerboats. Typically motor boats will have sleeping and cooking facilities on board and generally (but not always) be fitted with twin diesel engines. If your interest lies in smaller open boat then please visit Powerboat Training Scheme. Our Motor Cruising courses are usually run aboard "Bounty Hunter" our Sea Ray 35 motor yacht, she is a twin shaft sports cruiser and fitted with Radar, Chart plotter etc. Own boat tuition is also available. 

Motor cruising courses last between two and five days. In addition to the practical courses there are a number of shorebased courses that will help develop your skills and make you a safer and more self reliant skipper.

The heart of the RYA motor cruising scheme is the 5-day RYA Dayskipper Shorebased and 4-day RYA Dayskipper Power Courses, between them they teach those new to motor boating how to handle, navigate and skipper these craft.
