"Yoda" is our primary training RIB and just under 8m in length. You can enjoy the full range of powerboat courses on board her. You will find her Mercury 150HP Optimax engine ideal for developing both your close quarter handling and high-speed skills. You will also learn how to use the VHF radio and echo sounder on board. The large color chart plotter will assist you with navigation. After you have trained with us, Yoda is available to you for charter. She is licensed for day and night use.

Powerboats - Ribeye 785s - Southampton

If you are one of our corporate charter customers then you will be entertained on the fleet of 785s. The Yamaha 225HP and 250 HP 4-stroke engines will happily power you and your guests across the waves at speed up to 50 knots. You can seat between 9 and 12 people on each RIB. They are all fitted with GPS and VHF/DSC. Most carry a CD Player. Although we often use these boats for training their main role is as a fleet of matched "top end" RIBs for Skippered and Corporate Charter.

Keeping the fleet up to date, the two Zapcats have been replaced for 2010. These boats are not for the faint hearted, fitted with race ready 50HP 2-stroke engines they have a massive power to weight ratio. They are used for Zapcat experiences, corporate entertainment packages and Zapcat specific RYA powerboat training.

"Jabba, (the Jaffa)" is our trusty safety and coach boat for dinghy, windsurf and PWC courses. Re engined in 2008 with a tiller steered 15HP Mariner 4 stroke, she also adds diversity to our Powerboat Instructor training, Safetyboat Courses and Junior Powerboat Courses (for under 12s).

Motor Cruiser - North Gael 40 - Southampton

We contract this motor yacht in for much of our motorboat training. A pair of Detroit 260 HP shaft driven engines power her. Electronics include a Furuno radar and chart plotter and Simrad autopilot and instruments. We limit the number of students on board to three. This means you each get a berth to yourself and more time on the wheel and nav. station than many other training centers can offer. There is a galley, saloon, heads and shower on board.

Motor Cruiser - Sealine S43 - Southampton

In 2008 we added the Sealine Sports Cruiser to the fleet, she is powered by twin shaft Volvo engines and a powerful bow thruster which makes light work of mooring. With a top speed of 30 knots she is ideal for corporate charter. There are two double cabins (both with en suite toilets & showers) and saloon down below and an array of Raymarine GPS, Color Chart Plotter, Radar, DSC and Instruments by the driver's seat/nav. station.

New to us in 2010 "Ewok" is our primary training ski and used on most PWC Courses. She will comfortably carry 1-3 riders and is fitted with a modern clam (as opposed to the older/conventional bucket system); this makes close quarter handling easier. Although she could seat more you will share this powerful ski with only one other student on your course. Corporate charter/entertainment package can include the high adrenaline Seedoo GTX as an optional extra.

PWC - Yamaha VX 110 - Southampton

The best selling Personal Watercraft in the UK. The Yamaha VX seats three (although we limit it to two riders for training courses). This machine has a quick acceleration and is powered by a clean and quiet 4-stroke engine; the only sounds you will hear are your own screams of excitement.

PWC - Yamaha FX High Output Cruiser - Southampton

Powered by a 160 HP marinised Yamaha R1 1000cc motorbike engine. When you ride this ski you will leave the others behind (if you have not fallen off!). The digital display has been known to read 60 knots and the ski has been fitted with plenty extras.

We searched long and hard to find a cruiser racer that would perform as a training, charter and racing yacht. With nine berths, large spinnaker, aft main and full inventory "Jedi Knight" has proved very popular and fits the bill perfectly. For offshore cruises she eats up the miles, on the racecourse she is competitive in class and as a training yacht performs as a sailing yacht should. Jedi Knight is fitted with Raymarine Instruments, a Standard Horizon Plotter, Icom DSC and powerful Yanmar engine. Although busy as a training yacht she is also available for bareboat charter.

The second training yacht can also sleep 9 crew across three cabins and the saloon (although training courses are limited to four or five crew). She carries Raymarine Chart Plotter and Instruments, AIS, VHF/DSC and a heater.

A performance racer/cruiser and suitable for both the inshore and offshore circuit. She is fully equipped for events such as the Fastnet Race and Round Britain & Ireland Race. Her wardrobe of sails suits all conditions and she sleeps ten across three cabins and the saloon. In preparation for the 2010 Round Britain Race we are fitting an AIS set and water-maker.

Call them mini yachts or big dinghies, the yngling keelboats are fantastic craft for you to learn and improve your sailing skills. "Bobba" and "Jango" are new to us for 2010 and useful to both yachting and dinghy students. If you are unsure where you recognise the strange name (yngling) from, the class was made famous as the woman's keelboat in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. Both boats are self-draining and carry a spinnaker. Race sails are available for regattas.

"Vader" is our high performance keelboat. The Cork 1720 class was originally named after the Royal Cork Yacht Club (oldest Yacht Club in the world and founded in 1720). There is however nothing old fashioned about this machine. Quick in light airs and a rocket ship in anything above ten knots of breeze. She has a large bulb keel for upwind performance and carries a massive asymmetric spinnaker flown from a retractable carbon bow spirit for down wind flying. We use this keelboat for all levels of courses but predominantly spinnaker, performance, instructor and race training. She is competitive both in IRC and under the Sports Boat Rule and available to charter for key race events. Although we only launched her in 2010, Vader has proved her worth already by winning her first event, the RSYC Frostbite Series (Jan-Mar 2010).

Keelboat - J80 - Southampton

Complimenting "Vader" (the 1720 above) is "Millie Bug" the J80. Carrying an asymetric spinnaker this light “yacht-like” sportsboat is very popular both in the inshore series and the double handed series.

Sailing Dinghies - RS Visions - Southampton

"Leia" and "Padme" were designed specifically for training. They are stable enough for beginners to find their sea legs, while the more advanced student will find them fast and exciting. Both boats are fitted with asymmetric spinnakers and trapezes and they will serve you well from beginner to advanced level.

Sailing Dinghy - RS 400 - Southampton

"Lando" is here for you to develop your sailing skills. She is a lively double hander. The fully battened main and jib power her up quickly while the large asymmetric spinnaker helps her plane very easily. The large asymmetric kite is flown from a pole, which can be hiked to windward allowing a greater variety of angles to be sailed. The RS 400 is one of the most popular racing fleets in the UK.
