Stormforce Coaching's main centre and company headquarters are in Shamrock Quay, Southampton. All bookings and enquiries are taken through the Shamrock Quay office. As winter arrives in the UK, one of our yachts starts its' Atlantic circuit, sailing South for the sunshine of the Canary Islands and then crossing the Atlantic for the winter season, before returning to Europe for the summer race season in the Solent. Whilst we do not have a permanent centre in the Canary Islands or in the Caribbean, we do run cruises, charters and race events from both destinations.
Stormforce Coaching - Shamrock Quay, (Southampton, U.K.) - All Year Round
Our offshore Training Centre and company headquarters is based on the River Itchen. We have plenty of free parking on site, are less than a ten minute taxi journey from Southampton Central Station or a fifteen minute taxi ride away from Southampton Airport. The centre has four fully equipped training rooms and a training workshop (for diesel and outboard courses) and the fleet is only two minutes walk away. From here we run yacht racing, sail cruising, keelboating, motor cruising, powerboating, PWC and shorebased courses, making use of the River Hamble, Solent, English Channel and beyond.
Stormforce Coaching Gran Canaria, (Las Palmas) - October to November
In October and November of each year we have a yacht based in Las Palmas before it starts the ARC Trans Atlantic Race. Before the race we are able to run a few cruises in the beautiful Canary Islands. Well known for year round sunshine, good breeze and tidal sailing this is a great place to log miles on one of our offshore cruises. There are UK flights daily, there is no time zone difference, the transfer time in Gran Canaria is about twenty minutes and the temperature about 22-23 degrees C. Cruises generally board and disembark in Gran Canaria and can visit Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and even the African coast of Morocco.
Stormforce Coaching Caribbean, (Antigua) - December to May
During the winter months we offer a number of race events in the Caribbean. Join us for the ARC, Barbados Race Series, RORC Caribbean 600, Antigua Week, BVI Spring Regatta or St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. Leave the cold dark nights of the UK behind and enjoy some great sailing conditions (while wearing T-shirt and shorts) in January to April. Antigua and Barbuda has good flight connections to and from the UK, year round sunshine and English is spoken throughout the country.
