RYA Yachtmaster Instructor Preparation Sail

AIM: Prior to attending the RYA Yachtmaster Instructor Course many candidates feel a little rusty in certain areas and require a refresher. This course is useful for refreshing your hard skills prior to Instructor Training. We recommend this week is followed as soon as possible by the RYA Yachtmaster Instructor Course.

DURATION: 5 Days live aboard (0900 on Day 1 to 1600 on Day 5).

PRE REQUISITES:

·     7,000 miles logged

·     RYA Cruising Instructor

·     RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (with commercial endorsement)

·     First Aid

·     Minimum of a year full time or two seasons part time as a RYA Cruising Instructor (strongly recommended)

COURSE CONTENT: Yachtmaster Offshore Skills coached to a higher level including boat handling (power and sail), pilotage, passage planning, navigation, safety, skippering supporting knowledge and understanding.
