RYA Start Windsurf Instructor

AIM: To prepare potential instructors.

DURATION: 5 days 0900 to 1730 with some evening study.

PRE REQUISITES:

• Can swim 50m
• RYA First Aid or equivalent
• RYA Powerboat Level 2
• RYA Intermediate non-planing certificate with RYA Beach starting and non-planing gybe clinics (or a competent Level 2 certificate holder from the old scheme may be accepted).

COURSE CONTENT: Training in teaching techniques afloat and ashore in order to prepare candidates to instruct the RYA National Windsurfing Scheme. We will teach you the tried and tested RYA coaching methods, give you a chance to develop presentation skills and explain how the RYA scheme works.
