RYA Dinghy Instructor Coastal Endorsement

AIM: If you took your original RYA Dinghy Instructor or Senior Instructor Course at an Inland Centre you will only be qualified to teach at Inland Centres/locations. Clearly this restricts the amount of work available to you and your versatility as an instructor. This endorsement day covers instructing at coastal locations and will upgrade your qualification. (If you took your original course with us or another coastal centre you are already qualified to teach both inland and coastal courses).

DURATION: One Day 0900 to 1700

PRE REQUISITES:

·     RYA Dinghy Instructor (Inland) or RYA Senior Instructor (Inland)

·     In Date First Aid

·     Ability to perform Pre Entry Skills in a tidal environment

·     Understanding of supporting knowledge (weather, tides, safety, buoyage) 

COURSE CONTENT: The different approach to teaching at a coastal centre, fleet management, safety, dealing with tides, related theory knowledge and of a course a quick assessment of you pre-entry skills in tide.
