Yacht Skipper Coastal Module - 5 Weeks

An advanced yacht cruising module for existing RYA Skippers, suited to professional and leisure sailors. Navigation techniques are developed and coastal and "Cross Channel" passage making skills are a key focus. Parallel to the passage making and skippering you will develop your boat handling. Again we make the use of keelboats for a few days of specific sailing skills. The module ends with the Yachtmaster Coastal Assessment.

Entry Requirements

• Dinghy Instructor Module, Sea survival, diesel & Offshore Cruising or
  
• Super Yacht Foundation Module, Dayskipper Practical, Keelboat L2, Diesel or
• RYA Dayskipper Practical, SRC, Diesel, Sea Survival, First Aid

Candidates who are continuing onto the Yacht Skipper Offshore Module will not take the formal Yachtmaster Coastal Exam as they will be superseding it 6 weeks later with the Yachtmaster Offshore exam. Instead they will be assessed in house.
