RYA Powerboat Level 2

AIM: An introduction to powerboating which encompasses the Level 1. The courses concentrates on introducing you to boat handling and safety.

DURATION: Two Days 0900 to 1700

PRE REQUISITES:

• None, this is suitable for beginners and those with experience looking for formal training.
• Minimum age 12 (certificates for under 16s will be endorsed "Not to be in charge of a powerboat unless under the supervision of a responsible adult").

COURSE CONTENT: Picking up a mooring, turning in a confined space, anchoring, coming alongside pontoons, man overboard procedures, high speed manoeuvring, towing, basic passage planning, chart work and safety kit.

The Level 2 certificate is roughly equivalent to a driving licence. If you require a powerboat license for other European countries, we can also take care of the paperwork for your ICC (International Certificate of Competence), which is subject to a small RYA administration fee for non-RYA members.

We run this course every weekend and many weekdays, however there are only limited spaces.Please call if you cant find a date that is suitable.
