RYA Start Yachting

AIM: To learn basic skills and techniques for yacht sailing. This is an introduction to yachting.

DURATION: 2 days and 2 nights (1900 Friday to 1600 Sunday afternoon) or 3 days and 3 nights (1900 on Thursday or Friday evening to 1600 on Sunday or Monday afternoon).

PRE REQUISITES: None.

COURSE CONTENT: This course provides a short introduction to sail cruising for novices. By the end of the course you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, rope-work and be aware of safety on board. This can also be used as the first 2 or 3 days of the RYA Competent Crew Course. If you complete a further 2 or 3 day course at a later date you can effectively top up to the full 5 day RYA Competent Crew Certificate.
