RYA Sail Cruising Instructor

AIM: To train and qualify Yachtmasters to deliver the RYA Start Yachting, RYA Competent Crew and RYA Dayskipper Sail Courses at RYA Training Centres.

DURATION: Five days live aboard (commencing 0900 on a Saturday, Monday or Wednesday).

PRE REQUISITES:

·     Minimum Age 18 .

·     Maximum age 64.

·     Have logged a minimum of 3500 miles.

·     Hold a commercial RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence (Sail).

·     Hold an in date First Aid Certificate.

·     RYA Sea Survival certificate.

·     Medical fitness examination (ML5, ENG1 or Seafarer's medical issued by a National Maritime Authority).

COURSE CONTENT: Much of the Course is spent on how to teach and debrief sailing students and showing you some of the tricks of the trade. You will have the opportunity both to shadow our instructor and deliver some sessions yourself.
