RYA DSC Upgrade

AIM: Those who already hold a VHF licence have the opportunity to attend an update course. Over a few hours you will learn how to use DSC and other components of the GMDSS and be awarded the Short Range Certificate (SRC).

DURATION: Half day 1400 to 1700

PRE REQUISITES: You must hold the old VHF certificate (authority to operate).

COURSE CONTENT: In effect you are taking the second half of the SRC Course and the assessment paper. If your VHF knowledge is rusty you are advised to take the full day course or re-learn the contents of the handbook. There is also a £25 license fee payable to the RYA. If we are running a full day SRC Course, we are happy for others to join just for the upgrade in the afternoon.
