BSAC First Aid for Divers

AIM: To teach the basics of First Aid that may be needed in the sports diving environment making use of the resources likely to be available at the time. This will include the improvisation of dressings, splints, etc., using materials and equipment commonly available on site or in the boat

DURATION: One Day 1000 to 1700

PRE REQUISITES: None

COURSE CONTENT: Principles and Priorities of First Aid, shock, burns, diving injuries, hypothermia, exhaustion, bleeding and dressings, splinting and moving casualties and first aid kits. In addition to the core syllabus we also include CPR. (There is an extra £10 certification charge payable on the day to BSAC for non BSAC members).
